Working with Deep Dyve to improve search @ PLoS
Helping users to access our content with ease is becoming ever more important as the number of people who choose to publish Open Access and with PLoS continues to grow.
Therefore we are very pleased to have partnered with Deep Dyve (the search engine the helps researchers reach the 99% of content that most web browsers leave untouched, the so called Deep Web) to bring improved search to plos.org (our ‘corporate’ web site). You can now search across the content of the journals themselves, as well as all of plos.org itself and our associated blog sites (like this one).
We are convinced this is a major improvement in our search functionality for people coming to our content via plos.org. Give it a try, leave a comment here, and let us know what you think.
